Rooted in Connection and Healing
Nestled in the heart of Lamphel Sanakeithel, TALÁ is a community space dedicated to fostering connection, resilience, and holistic healing. The name TALÁ, derived from an ancient Manipuri word meaning “tree,” symbolizes strength, groundedness, and growth. Like a tree, TALÁ stands as a nurturing presence, offering a safe haven for individuals seeking to deepen their recovery journey and embrace mindful living mindful living.
TALÁ is more than a physical space—it’s a community where individuals come together to heal, grow, and thrive through shared practices and meaningful connections.
Recovering with Mindfulness: An 8-Week Transformative Journey
At the heart of TALÁ’s offerings is Recovering with Mindfulness, an 8-week program launched on April 16, 2025, designed to empower individuals in recovery. Whether you’re navigating personal recovery, supporting a loved one, or seeking tools to manage stress, this program provides practical, evidence-based strategies to cultivate resilience, reduce stress, and integrate mindfulness into daily life.
Program Highlights:
-
Daily Guided Meditation Sessions: Cultivate inner calm and clarity through expertly led meditations tailored to support recovery and emotional well-being.
-
MIR® Skill Development Classes: Learn transformative skills from the Mindfulness in Recovery® (MIR) program, designed to foster joy, connection, and resilience.
-
Weekly Reflection Sessions: Engage in meaningful discussions to consolidate learning, share experiences, and celebrate progress in a supportive group setting.
Recovering with Mindfulness is inclusive, welcoming individuals at any stage of recovery—whether you’re new to sobriety, following a 12-step program, or exploring other recovery pathways. The program’s action-oriented approach ensures participants leave with practical tools to sustain their growth and healing long after the program ends.
Guided by Expertise and Compassion
TALÁ is led by Nganthoi Tongbram, a certified facilitator trained in the Mindfulness in Recovery® (MIR) program. Developed by John Bruna, MIR is a globally recognized, evidence-based approach that has transformed lives across the United States and the United Kingdom. Participants consistently praise MIR as “life-changing,” with no recorded negative course evaluations—a testament to its profound impact.
In addition to MIR, Nganthoi is trained in Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR), an evidence-based psychotherapy technique that supports individuals in processing and resolving trauma effectively. For those whose recovery journey involves past trauma, TALÁ offers compassionate, proven methods to foster deep healing and lasting transformation.
Flexible and Accessible
TALÁ is committed to meeting you where you are. We offer:
-
In-Person Sessions at our serene Lamphel Sanakeithel space, designed to feel like a sanctuary for reflection and connection.
-
Online Sessions for those joining from afar, ensuring accessibility no matter your location.
Whether near or far, TALÁ welcomes you to join our growing community of individuals committed to mindful living and recovery.
A Complementary Path to Healing
Please note that TALÁ’s programs, including Recovering with Mindfulness, are not a substitute for professional treatment or therapy. Instead, they serve as a complementary resource, designed to enhance and support those actively engaged in their recovery or therapeutic journey. Our programs work in harmony with existing recovery pathways, offering tools to deepen resilience, self-awareness, and community connection.
