At The Collective Trust, we understand that seeking support for mental health requires courage and trust, especially within the unique context of Manipur. Creating a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment is not just a policy for us; it is the absolute foundation of everything we do. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you feel secure when engaging with our services or participating in our initiatives.

Why Talking to Us is Safe:

  1. Professional Ethics & Standards: Our core team primarily comprises qualified Clinical Psychologists, all of whom are registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). We strictly adhere to the professional codes of ethics governing mental health practice, which mandate confidentiality as a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship.
  2. Confidentiality in Counselling: What you share during individual, couple, or family counselling sessions is held in the strictest confidence. Your information will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit, informed consent. The only exceptions are rare, legally mandated situations involving imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or specific legal requirements like a court order or mandatory reporting of child abuse. We will always strive to discuss these limits with you beforehand if such a situation arises.
  3. Creating Safe Group Spaces (e.g., Wakhong, TALÁ): Our listening circles and group sessions like Wakhong & TALÁ are built on mutual respect and trust. While absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed by facilitators for participant actions outside the group, we establish clear ground rules emphasizing respect for privacy and discouraging gossip. Facilitators model and uphold confidentiality within the session, focusing on creating a space where participants feel safe enough to share authentically, knowing they will be listened to respectfully and without judgment or attempts to “fix” them.
  4. Non-Judgmental & Respectful Approach: We strive to create an environment free from stigma, prejudice, and judgment. We respect your unique experiences, values, cultural background, and perspectives. Our role is to listen, support, and collaborate with you on your journey, not to evaluate or criticize.
  5. Data Privacy & Security: Any personal information collected for appointments, registration, or program participation is handled securely and responsibly. It is used solely for the purpose of providing effective services, maintaining necessary records, and relevant communication, always in line with ethical best practices.
  6. Informed Consent: We believe in transparency. Before beginning any therapeutic service or structured program, we will discuss the process, the nature of the service, confidentiality and its limits, any potential fees, and answer any questions you may have, ensuring you make informed decisions about your care.
